So, good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen. The story is about my mom, and I think the story should be for my mom. And so without my mom, the most important woman in my life, I couldn't be able to stand right here wearing a nice shirt and delivering this speech in English. And so my mom was born in the 70s in my hometown, Jiangxi, a very small, it's an agricultural province.

So not a lot of industry there, and people are not very rich. My mom told me this story, that when she was very young, one of her classmates' family asked her to deliver some bread from their house to the school. But my mom was so poor at the time, she couldn't resist to look at the bread, the thing she was supposed to deliver.

It was so tempting, you know, the fresh baked bread. And it's a two-kilometer walk, so it's very difficult to resist. So the choice she made was pick those little grains of sesame on the bread and ate those. So grew up in such a difficult environment, she didn't give up her dreams.

she wanted to be a dentist, but she read a lot of books, she studied very hard, she's not the most smart student in the classroom, but she's the most hardworking one. So, successfully, she got into one of our local hospitals, but at that time, she works in the emergency department, So I was about three or four at that time.

So she wanted to have more time to stay with me. So again, she worked very hard and passed the dentist certificate exam and become a dentist finally. So what I want to say is the society's attitude for a woman to become a professional woman in any career they pursue have changed.

Before, like maybe 15 years ago, people expect women to just stay at home and do the housework. But now things are different, all thanks to our society and government. and they go to the same school as boys. They don't get discriminated that much and all the resources are equally provided to this wonderful woman.
